Choose OU Health Sciences if you want certainty. Its Coordinated Program for the Master of Arts in Dietetics combines classroom instruction with over 1,200 internship hours, so students put coursework straight into practice and finish eligible for the exam without entering a match. OU describes it as unique in Oklahoma, and that is accurate.
Choose Oklahoma State if you want the largest department and a combined internship. Its didactic programme is accredited through 2028, and its internship is a combined master’s — interns complete both the MS and the supervised practice to receive the verification statement. OSU also offers its own graduates a pre-select route into the internship as an alternative to the national match.
Choose OSU’s graduate certificate if you already hold a verification statement. Four core courses and three practicums across sites in Oklahoma fulfil the 1,000-hour requirement, without a second full master’s if you already have one.
Choose Central Oklahoma or Northeastern State if you want an accredited bachelor’s closer to home. Both produce the verification statement; neither includes supervised practice, so plan the internship application from the start.

Four options sit under one degree title and only one is accredited, which is the usual trap. Confirm you are in the dietetics option specifically.
OSU is unusually candid about the national picture. It states there is a significant shortage of internship positions across the country, that there are over 250 accredited internships nationally, and that the nationwide acceptance rate is about 50 percent — while reporting that an above-average share of its own applicants were accepted over the past five years. Programme outcome data is available on request rather than published, so ask for it.
Two mechanics worth knowing. OSU graduates may enter its own internship through a pre-select process rather than the DICAS and D&D computer match, which is a real advantage for its own students. And for the graduate certificate, applicants must be admitted to both the Graduate College and the internship — two approvals, not one.
One more point for career changers. OSU notes you do not have to earn a second bachelor’s degree to receive the verification statement, though completing the dietetics curriculum generally qualifies you for one. If you already hold a BS in Nutritional Sciences under a different option, you cannot earn a second degree in the same subject. Didactic requirements can be taken alongside graduate courses, but with very few exceptions they will not count toward a graduate degree.

Entry is once a year. Applicants need a strong science background and must complete prerequisite courses before applying to the Nutritional Sciences programme, which begins each autumn. University of Central Oklahoma
UCO in Edmond, just north of Oklahoma City, runs an accredited didactic programme that did not previously appear on this page.

Northeastern State University

Tulsa Community College
Tulsa Community College offers the state’s two-year entry point.
